Our intent with the current sanctuary was to enable everyone to attend the same service. However, thanks to the Lord’s bountiful blessing, we have grown at a pace that has far exceeded our expectations. Over the past few years – specifically since we opened our new sanctuary in 2022 – our Sunday morning attendance has grown by more than 50%, resulting in capacity challenges both in terms of seating and parking. You’ve likely experienced both challenges – probably more than once! We would prefer to continue with one Sunday morning worship service, but our significant growth is forcing us to move to two services.
-
We are blessed, excited and humbled by the way the Lord has worked to grow our congregation. Thanks to the Lord’s bountiful blessing, we have grown at a pace that has far exceeded our expectations. While the new sanctuary is a beautiful facility and we’re not doing anything differently from what we’ve always done, we’re not the ones drawing people to our church. That’s all the Lord’s doing!
-
It will not. The content of the two services will be virtually identical, with the same music, sermon and worship style. The only real change will depend upon which worship service you decide to attend.
-
We would love to have the new spaces available to us when we introduce the second service, but this new wrinkle likely means that the parking situation is going to be extended and will take at least six to nine months to resolve, which also means that we may need to continue the shuttle service until the new spaces are completed – or longer. We are still assessing whether we will need the shuttle for one service, two services and/or Sunday school.
-
Yes. While we would encourage everyone to attend the worship service in the sanctuary, we recognize that there are times and situations when having the 242 room available would be helpful and beneficial for the worship of our congregation.

Originally, we had hoped to utilize a unique property development approach that would have allowed us to add new parking spaces on our property in exchange for acquiring another piece of undeveloped property within the Wake County watershed. However, it now appears that we won’t be able to get a clean title on the property we’ve been pursuing for the past couple years. It was a result of our research that we pursued the land purchase idea because it appeared to have the most promise. So we’re now looking to see if any other similar properties are available.
Another option that was high on our list until we learned of the property purchase idea was the use of special pavers, which are now again under consideration. Another option that was high on our list until we learned of the property purchase idea was the use of special pavers, which are now again under consideration. These pavers are considered a pervious surface, meaning that they allow water to pass through, which is what we need if we are going to add on-site parking spaces, which normally are impervious surfaces such as asphalt and concrete that don’t allow water to pass through. At this point, we are thoroughly assessing the pavers option to see if it will work for us and if it’s more affordable than pursuing another piece of property.

With the introduction of a second service, we are going to offer opportunities that will enable you to better connect with people from the other service since you may not necessarily be worshipping with “your people” if they decide to attend the service you’re not attending. The truth is that we only know well a certain number of people, but we want to generate opportunities that enable us to maintain – and hopefully enhance – the connectedness that exists within our congregation today.
-
First and foremost, please pray for us. There are a lot of moving parts involved in adding a second service and multiple decisions to be made. Please pray that we faithfully follow the Lord’s leading through this process.
Second, offer to volunteer. Adding a second service is going to significantly increase the number of volunteers needed on Sunday morning. Prayerfully consider how you can serve with any of the following teams: children’s ministry, welcome, security, sound, worship, parking and coffee ministry.
Third, we would appreciate your patience now as we work to institute this new schedule.
