Giving at Redeemer
Because Jesus gives, we give.
The Gospel changes everything including how we think about our time, relationships, skills, and money. In 2 Corinthians 8:9, Paul reminds the church of the motivating principle for generosity:
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich,
yet for your sakes he became poor; so that you through his poverty become rich.”
Seeing Jesus sacrificial love for us should help us have a healthy attitude toward our material possessions enabling us to become sacrificial and generous people. It is our joy and privilege as followers of Jesus to give to the Lord as an act of worship our time, our skills, and our possessions.
