Building Now for Eternity

What is Building Now for Eternity?

As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

— I Peter 2:4-5

Building Now for Eternity is the name of our generosity campaign which will enable us to build a new facility on our property.  However, the building is not our primary focus. God invites us to be a part of a bigger, grander and eternal building program.  God is at work building His church, and we are called to be engaged in this work.  The leadership believes that this new building will be a useful tool in helping us carry out our mission, helping each other come to know and follow Jesus for the good of Raleigh and the world.

During this exciting time at Redeemer, we are thankful for what God has done in and through our church.  He has knit together a community, a family of people from diverse backgrounds and diverse ages committed to helping each other love God and love our neighbors.  We are thankful for the many partnerships we have with missionaries and ministries around the world. We are hopeful for what God will do through this process as our faith is stretched, and we are prayerful for how God will continue to work in us and through us to build His Kingdom here in Raleigh and beyond.

God is at work building his church, a living temple, living stone upon living stone. As the people of God, the church, we are involved in building now for eternity.

We are not only building a physical building. We are building into the lives of people for all eternity.
