Redeemer Student Ministry
At Redeemer, we believe God has called us to help each other know and follow Jesus in all areas of life. Our Student Ministry is an extension of that. Our goal is to come along side parents in providing 7th-12th graders a variety of ways to discover who God is and grow closer to him through various avenues of ministry: Large group meetings, Sunday school classes, small groups, as well as service and social events.
The information and links below will give you more information about each area of student ministry. Want to get in touch? Contact Sean Scott, our Student Ministry Coordinator here: firstname.lastname@example.org
LARGE GROUP MEETINGS - SCHOOL YEAR
During the school year (September-May) we gather every Sunday night from 7:30-8:45 as a youth large group. During this time we'll play games, worship through singing, and work through a teaching series. We will largely study books of the Bible, and occasionally do more topical studies.
For the fall semester, we will study the book of Mark over 16 weeks, focusing on Who Jesus is, and Why did the king need to suffer?
Join us Sunday nights, beginning September 2nd!
Small Groups - In addition to Sunday school and youth group, we also have youth small group Bible studies. Small groups are a great opportunity for youth to apply Biblical truths to their lives in a more comfortable and safe setting, as well as learn to interpret scripture on their own and learn how to help others understand the Bible. It is also a time to build solid friendship centered on the Gospel and learn how to minister to each other. For more details on our small groups, click here.
Youth Sunday School (SS) Classes - Sunday school meets from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. between Worship Services. We have a middle school class for grades 7-8 and a high school class for grades 9-12. The high school class is taught by Phil Rendall and meets in the Junior, our mobile unit on the side of the church building.. The middle school class is taught by Rich and Viann Neikirk and meets in the conference room, located behind the nursery desk in the foyer.
- The high school class is currently studying the idea of Worship.
- The middle school class is working through what it means to abide in Christ in daily life.
