getting involved at Redeemer Church

     We purposely put this category as the
     first sub-topic under “getting involved”
     because we believe that one of the best
     ways, if not the best way, to be involved
     in the life of the local church is to be in-
     volved in some type of service capacity –
     using our spiritual gifts to serve the
     church and the community.

    Much to the influence of our consumeristic society, we are prone to think
    primarily of ourselves and our families when it comes to church involvement,
    often asking the question, “What can I get out of this?” or “What can my family
    get out of this?”  We desire to be a church that challenges people to ask, “How
    can I/we best serve my fellow believers and community?”.

    The following is a list of different ways to serve in our church:

• pray for our church

• serve on one of our oversight committees

• give to our deacons fund

• be a greeter on Sunday mornings

• volunteer to help with building and grounds maintenance

• bring snacks for Sunday morning fellowship

• arrange flowers for our sanctuary for Sunday morning worship

• sing/play special music during Sunday morning worship

• join the music/worship team

• volunteer to help with childcare for special events

• help in the kitchen during fellowship & outreach events

• teach Sunday School

• help with meals for the sick

• help with Communion preparation
