VBS/MS Service Week
Every summer we look forward to this week for our children ages 4 through rising 8th graders to learn about God’s word and to have fun together during Vacation Bible School and Middle School Service week!
VBS is a great way for us to reach out to our children, friends and neighbors to share the story and love of Jesus. It’s like camp: the children will be “hiking” through the book of Luke, worshiping through songs, creating awesome crafts and playing incredible outdoor games (and it’s FREE!). VBS is for children age 4 through rising 5th grade. You can join us…June 26-30 9a.m. – noon for an Upward Bound Adventure .
MS Service Week is for rising 6th –rising 8th graders. These students begin to see what it is like to know and follow Jesus through serving off-site in our community. We will go serve at the food bank, run games for an outreach camp, and more! We will work hard, and do a series of devotionals as we explore how Jesus first served us and how that can model the way we view service towards others.
You can join us…June 26-30 9a.m. – noon for MS Service Week
WANT TO BE A VOLUNTEER?
All volunteers who work directly with children must either be members of Redeemer or have attended regularly for 6 months or more; all will go through a screening process and will need to complete a background check.
Just as all of our ministry to children depends on many volunteer hands, there are lots of opportunities during VBS week. We need help before, during and after VBS week. You can work directly with the children, but there is also work to be done behind the scenes, so if “kids aren’t your thing” or you are just not available during the day, we can still find a place for you. All volunteers will go through a screening process and will need to complete a background check.
