Children's Ministries at Redeemer
Ages Birth - 6th Grade
Our vision is to help parents in the in the spiritual nature of their children by seeing children GROW as disciples and GO make disciples.
We seek to do this through children's ministry in three ways:
KNOW Jesus, FOLLOW Jesus, and SHARE Jesus.
Childcare is available for babies and toddlers (ages 0-3 years) during both services as well as during Sunday School.
Infants - babies 6 weeks through walking (Room 7)
Toddlers –walkers through age 3 (Room 6)
If you are new, please check in with the Nursery Coordinator at the desk in the main hallway.
All children are welcome in worship. Prior to the sermon, children 3 through 5 years of age have the option of attending Children's Church where they will have singing and a lesson, including a short teaching time by one of our elders.
At 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings, there are age appropriate Sunday School classes for Toddlers through 6th Grade.
During our Women’s Bible Study on Wednesday mornings, there is childcare for babies, a class for toddler and preschoolers, as well as supervision for school-age children (ex. Homeschoolers or children who are tracked out). The toddlers learn basic elements of our faith (ex. “God made us” and “God loves us”) from Matthias Media’s Teaching Little Ones material. The preschoolers learn the children’s catechism through the Kids’ Quest material.
Students in 5th and 6th grade are invited to our monthly Gatherings to spend time getting to know each other, having fun and having a devotional time together.
Every summer we look forward to one week of focused time for our children ages 4 through rising 5th and graders to learn about God's word and to have fun together during Vacation Bible School! Invite your friends, invite your neighbors, and come! We use Reach Out Adventures curriculum.
Middle Schoolers can participate in activities for their age during VBS week. Details will be available in the spring.
Thank you to everyone who made VBS 2017 such a huge success!
WANT TO BE A VOLUNTEER?
All of our ministry to children depends on many volunteer hands. There are lots of opportunities to work directly with the children, but there is also work to be done behind the scenes, so if “kids aren’t your thing” we can still find a place for you. All volunteers will go through a screening process and will need to complete a background check. There are various opportunities for training throughout the year depending on what area you are working with.
